About the Role
Orange Township is looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our Public Works team as a Part-Time Laborer. In this hands-on role, you’ll help maintain and improve our township roads, parks, and properties—keeping our community safe, clean, and welcoming. No two days are the same, and you’ll gain valuable experience operating equipment, working outdoors, and learning from a supportive crew.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with road, sidewalk, and property maintenance
- Operate equipment such as trucks, mowers, plows, and more
- Help with landscaping, mowing, trimming, planting, and tree care
- Support snow removal, salting, and emergency response as needed
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on facilities, vehicles, and tools
- Be part of a team that takes pride in serving the community
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of related experience (or equivalent skills)
- A valid Ohio driver’s license and good driving record
- Someone dependable, safety-minded, and ready to pitch in
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Requirements:

Orange Township is seeking volunteers for the Parks Subcommittee! This group will review and recommend projects in accordance to the 2022 Parks Master Plan. The Orange Township Community Volunteer Board is seeking resident volunteers for the Events Subcommittee. Orange Township Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter. Candidates must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and a current Ohio Firefighter Level II certification. For full time status candidates must possess a current Paramedic certification. Part-time candidates must have a current EMT-B certification or above.
