International Firefighters’ Day 2026
Today we recognize International Firefighters’ Day and the incredible men and women who serve the Orange Township community every day.
The Orange Township Fire Department is there for life’s most critical moments—responding without hesitation, putting others first, and showing true dedication to public safety. Their commitment, courage, and compassion do not go unnoticed.
From emergency response to community outreach, our firefighters make Orange Township a safer, stronger place to live. We are grateful for their service today and every day. They continue to give their best for our worst.

East Powell Road Trail Connection
The trail connection on East Powell Road is currently undergoing construction. This new trail will provide connection from South Old State Road to Lyra Drive. We want to thank the Delaware County Engineer’s Office for their partnership in this project.
Expected completion by June 1st.
Walker Wood Park – Parking Lot Closed 4/14-4/17
⚠️The parking lot at Walker Wood Park will be closed Tuesday (4/14) thru Friday (4/17) for asphalt resurfacing. The park will remain open.

Meeting Cancellation Notice – Not an April Fools’ Joke
The Orange Township Board of Trustees meeting scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, 2026, has been cancelled.
The Board will resume its regular meeting schedule on April 15, 2026.

Orange Township is seeking a motivated and organized individual to support the planning and execution of community events, as well as assist with communications efforts. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working with the public, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Position Details:
Part-time position (up to 25 hours per week)
Must be available to work weekends for events
Compensation is $20 – $22/hour based on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing township events
Support communications initiatives and public outreach
Provide excellent customer service to residents and event participants

Orange Township is now accepting applications for the Grand Marshal of our Independence Day Parade, and this year is especially meaningful as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary! This historic milestone makes our 4th of July celebration even more special, and we’re looking for someone who represents the pride, service, and spirit of our community.
Know someone who would be a great fit? Nominate them (or apply!) to be part of this unforgettable celebration.
The selected Grand Marshal must be available and present at the Orange Township Independence Day Parade on July 4.

New Zoning Code!
Orange Township’s new Zoning Code will officially go into effect on March 5.
This updated code is the result of careful planning, community input, and a commitment to guiding thoughtful growth while preserving the character of our community. The new regulations will help ensure future development aligns with the Township’s long-term vision and standards.
