RECYCLING BIN LIDS ARE IN AT THE TOWNSHIP HALL. Residents wishing to pick one up can stop by Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Recycling is an important part of your waste removal service. By recycling, you help save natural resources, conserve energy and save landfill space. Whether you recycle in your home or business, you are doing your part to help make your community better and we are proud to be a part of that.

Rumpke uses Single Stream Recycling in most of our curbside collection programs. Thanks to single stream, your recyclable materials can be mixed together in your bin. Once the materials arrive at our recycling center, they are mechanically and manually sorted. This process makes recycling easy and convenient for you.

The following is the most current list of recyclable items for Rumpke's recycling program. If you have questions about certain items, please call toll free 1-888-786-7531.

Acceptable Items:

• Plastic bottles and jugs #1 - #7, no lids
• Glass jars & bottles of any color
• Aluminum, steel and bi-metal cans
• Empty aerosol cans with lids & tips removed
• Brown grocery bags
• Computer paper
• Other mixed office paper
• Corrugated cardboard (3'x3' sections)
• Envelopes, with or without windows
• Junk mail
• Magazines
• Newspapers, inserts included
• Paperboard (i.e. cereal boxes)
• Telephone books
• Folders

Unacceptable Items:

• Plastics #1 - #7 that are not bottles or jugs, such as Cool Whip containers or butter tubs
• Plastic bags
• Motor oil jugs and other chemical containers
• Styrofoam
• Lids/caps
• Window glass and broken glass
• Light bulbs
• Coat hangers
• Paint cans
• Text books
