Do I need a permit for my yard sale or yard sale sign?
No, you do not need a permit for yard sales or yard sale signs. You do need to make sure your sign is on your own property and out of the road right-of-way. The best way to stay out of the right-of-way is to keep the sign behind the sidewalk, ditch or utility poles.

Do pools require a permit?
Yes, you need to fill out an application, bring in your plot plan with the pools dimensions and location marked and include the fee. The Orange Township Zoning Code also requires the pool be enclosed by a five foot fence with a locking gate. Click Fees Schedule to view the most current fees.

What does a deck require?
There is an application to be filled out for a deck. You will also need to bring in a copy of your plot plan with a scale drawing showing the location and size of the deck, along with the fee. Click Fees Schedule to view the most current fees.

How about a patio?
Orange Township Zoning has no requirements for patios.

Do I need a permit for a fence?
You do not need a permit for a fence. You do need to make sure you keep it on your own property, and check with your homeowners association for any requirements they may have.
