ORANGE TOWNSHIP PARK RULES
Adopted 10/20/03
• No person shall enter or remain in a park except during
the hours of a legally permitted activity, those hours in Orange
Township, being from dawn to dusk.
• Defacement, destruction, removal or disturbance of any
building, sign, equipment or natural vegetation within a park is
prohibited.
• No person shall bring to, leave behind or dump any materials
of any kind in a park other than refuse from a picnic or other approved
activity.
• Fire, other than fires in grills or fireplaces is prohibited.
All fires must be extinguished before leaving the park.
• Pets must be on a leash at all times. Owners of pets will
be responsible for removal and proper disposal of fecal matter from
their pets. No pets shall be allowed on athletic fields or playgrounds.
No horseback riding is permitted in a park. Farm animals are prohibited
in parks. No person shall hunt, trap or abuse animals abiding in
a park. Fishing shall be allowed in accordance to posted rules.
• Alcohol and illegal drugs are prohibited in parks. No person
is permitted in a park while intoxicated by alcohol or under the
influence of illegal drugs.
• No person shall use, discharge, possess or carry firearms,
air or gas guns, bows, knives, crossbows, missile throwing objects
or sling shots in a park.
• Soliciting, sales and advertising of any kind on park grounds
are prohibited without express permission from the Park Manager.
• No person shall operate radios, tape recorders, CD players
or musical instruments at a volume audible beyond their immediate
area in a park.
• All organized athletic events, including practices in parks,
must be approved by the Park Manager. In the event that athletic
fields are deemed unplayable, no person shall be allowed on the
fields until further notice. Signs shall be posted to announce restrictions.
• No person shall fly remote control airplanes, shoot rockets
or fireworks within park limits. Remote control cars are prohibited
in parks.
• No swimming or boating is permitted in park fishing ponds.
• Ice skating is only permitted in designated park areas
and at designated times.
• Skateboarding is only permitted in designated park areas.
• Motorized vehicles are allowed only on designated roads
and park in designated areas. No person shall wash or repair vehicles
in a park. Snowmobiles or unlicensed vehicles are prohibited in
parks.
• Any vehicle left in a park after closing hours will be
towed at the owner's expense.
• No person shall promote or engage in any game played for
money or other thing of value or beg and solicit for money in a
park.
• No person shall loiter in the vicinity of a park toilet
and no person over the age of six shall enter the toilet facilities
provided for the exclusive use of the opposite sex.
• No person in a park shall use insulting, abusive, threatening,
profane or indecent language and assault or commit bodily injury
upon another.
• No person in a park shall appear in a state of nudity or
commit, perform or engage in any lewd or obscene act or solicit
another to engage in the same.
• Camping is prohibited in parks. No person shall build a
structure on park property.
• No person in a park shall erect a sign or attach a sign
to park property.
• No person shall hit a golf ball or practice golf in a park.
