AQUATIC CENTER RULES
North Orange Aquatic Center
Rules & Regulations
General
• At all times children of the age of 12 years or younger
will not be permitted upon the Aquatic Center grounds unless under
the direct care and supervision of a parent or other responsible
person of the age of 16 years or older.
• All visitors must, at a minimum, wear bathing suits/swimsuits.
Topless female bathers and thong suits are prohibited. “Street”
clothing (i.e. cut-off jeans) is prohibited in the pool.
• No intoxicants or smoking are permitted within the Aquatic
Center.
• Bathers are encouraged and instructed to stay away from
life-lines and ropes.
• Ten-minute rest periods will be taken every hour. Only adults
(18 years of age and older) and infants or toddlers in the arms
of an adult are permitted in the pool during rest periods.
• Diapered children are prohibited from entering the pool.
Swim diapers must be used.
• Running, pushing, dunking, rowdy behavior, wrestling, splashing,
throwing objects, holding anyone under water and the use of inappropriate
or foul language anywhere within the Aquatic Center are prohibited.
• Do not talk to guards on duty. All visitors must obey the
management and lifeguards. They are present for your safety and
to enforce rules so that all visitors may enjoy the benefits of
the Aquatic Center.
• Soft, “Nerf”-type balls and United States Coast
Guard-approved flotation devices are the only objects permitted
in the pool.
• No water guns, skateboards, rollerblades, roller skates
or bicycles are permitted within the Aquatic Center or upon the
adjacent Aquatic Center grounds.
• All trash and refuse must be placed in provided receptacles.
• Glass containers are not permitted within the Aquatic Center
or upon the adjacent Aquatic Center grounds.
• Excessive use of lotions and creams prior to entering the
pool is discouraged.
• Pets are not permitted within the Aquatic Center or upon
the adjacent Aquatic Center grounds.
• Diving from the sides of the pool is strictly prohibited.
• All food and beverages must be kept away from the immediate
pool area.
• Loitering in the restrooms, changing facilities, locker
area, pool entry and/or parking lot is not permitted.
• Bicycles, automobiles and other vehicles shall be parked
in the designated areas.
• Visitors are responsible for any damage to the Aquatic Center
or premises caused by themselves, their families, or their guests.
Management and Orange Township are not responsible for the loss
or theft of, or damage to, personal property or vehicles of visitors,
their families, or guests.
• All persons using the Aquatic Center do so at their own
risk. Management and Orange Township will not be responsible for
any injury, accident, or damage in connection with such use. All
injuries, accidents, or damage should be reported immediately to
the pool manager on duty.
• All visitors are responsible for their own valuables. The
pool office, employees, management, and Orange Township are not
responsible for their safety.
• Violation of these rules or regulations or any other misconduct
may result in a temporary or permanent suspension of pool privileges.
Any permanent suspension will be determined by the Orange Township
Trustees by resolution at a duly convened meeting. The affected
person(s) shall be given notice of the meeting and shall be afforded
an opportunity to address the Trustees. Until the meeting, pool
privileges may be temporarily suspended at the discretion of the
Facilities Manager. Violation of any pool rule may also result in
a temporary suspension of pool privileges, “time out”,
or lesser sanction at the discretion of the Facilities Manager.
Diving Well
• No one is permitted in the diving area unless they are able
to swim a minimum of 25 yards.
• Bathers/swimmers are not permitted to catch others diving
or jumping off of diving boards.
• No inward or reverse dives are permitted.
• Double bounces on diving boards can be dangerous and are
prohibited.
• Look before you dive. Watch for swimmers already in the
water.
• No running dives are permitted.
• No swimming is permitted under the diving boards.
• Only one person at a time shall be on a diving board.
Slide
• No one is permitted in the slide area unless they are able
to swim a minimum of 25 yards or meet the minimum height requirement
of 49 inches.
• Slide users shall ride feet first, facing forward. No stopping,
changing positions or forming chains is permitted.
• All flotation devices, goggles, watches, etc. Are prohibited
by the slide.
• Users shall exit the landing area immediately after use
of the slide.
• Users shall obey attendants at all times.
• No swimming is permitted under the slide area.
