ORANGE TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPARTMENT

The Orange Township Fire Department was established as a volunteer fire department in 1952. It served the community well and with the population explosion in 2000 the fire department became full time. The growth of the township also meant expansion and renovation of the fire department building and equipment. In 2002, OTFD obtained a medic truck purchased from Delaware County, bought a new grass fire truck and a Chief’s vehicle. Also in 2002, fire station 362 on South Old State Road under went renovations. Ground was broke for Station 361, on Gooding Boulevard, in 2003 and the station was completed in 2004. We now have two full time fire stations, each with 6 full time firefighters on duty daily and part-time firefighters scheduled as needed. We are currently keeping pace with the growth of the township and the ever-changing technology.
